I'm Kristine Kay, and for over a decade I've been designing environments that reflect the discerning tastes of our clients. As a devoted design connoisseur, I believe exceptional spaces should elevate every aspect of your life—from curating a refined haven for your family, to designing interiors that strategically enhance your business's bottom line. Based in Holland, Michigan and serving the Lakeshore, I draw inspiration from our stunning Great Lakes. I design best when I truly know you—creating spaces that are as distinctive as you are.

Hi! My love for design began as a child, with a creative family and a grandpa who was a skilled furniture maker. I studied Interior Design and earned a bachelor's degree from Kendall College of Art and Design. Over the last 20 years I have worked in various fields, from commercial, industrial, hospitality, and residential. Working with KKI over the last couple years has allowed even more development and growth and given me the chance to work in my hometown, which I love! I currently live 10 minutes away from the studio with my husband, 3 kids, and dog.
Interior Designer
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg and have been working in various aspects of the design industry ever since. My love of design was instilled by my parents, who taught me to appreciate art and pattern-mixing, and by my Grandma, who loved color and showed me what it meant to have exceptional taste. I am constantly inspired by the world around me and would rather be in Paris than anywhere else! I have a mild obsession with doors, a special appreciation for antiques, and love to incorporate “found objects” into all of my projects. I live in Hudsonville with my husband, two daughters, and Golden Retriever

I’ve been passionate about design for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be part of the KKI team as I continue pursuing this path. I hold an Associate’s degree in Interior Design and am currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree at Kendall College of Art and Design. As a lifelong West Michigan resident, I love working close to home and seeing familiar spaces transform. In my role as a design assistant at Kristine Kay Interiors, I support the team, contribute to creative concepts, and help bring beautiful, functional spaces to life!
